4C-TV™ Release Notes
Release 2.3.002
Minor changes and updates included in this release.
Review the Daily Log to use the actual Programs Approximate Length if the scheduled program copy is not yet available. The system will keep warning the operator that the log is incomplete but will reflect the actual programs approx. length as the events duration.
Review the Program Rights transfer function to force recalculation of the Programs delivery & disposition dates. When transferring Active Rights, the information updated by Programming in the Licensed Services panel is also preserved (Avail List ID, Plan Code, First Run).
The Service field in the Series record is now optional. Series records can be created without an assigned Service, which can be assigned later.
When creating "duplicate" Program Copies using the "Dup Copy" button, the system will keep track of the original ProgramCopy house number. This allows tracking which original master generated a given copy. For this new feature to be effective, user must use the "Dup Copy" when adding Program Copies created from a given original/copy. The "New Version" button WILL NOT save the originating copy house number.
Added a new validation in the Program Copy creation/duplication screen. When an existing Media ID is indicated the system will check if the media is checked out or in a different Library. In any of those cases a warning message will be displayed and the operator will have the chance to reject it. In any case, the normal check-in/transfer process will be executed, that is, a log will eventually be added to the tape and if indicated, a confirmation slip will be printed for media transfer/check-in.
Date fields in Find and data entry screens have a new set of keyboard shortcuts, in parallel to the date popup menu. Each item in the popup menu has an associated letter key and the user now has the option of selecting a date from the popup or typing the corresponding shortcut into the date field. For example, the "+" key will increment the date for the next day, while the "-" will change the date to the previous day (like Quicken). The keyboard shortcuts are:
o "t" : Today
o "y" : Yesterday
o "o" : Tomorrow
o "+" : the next day
o "-" : the previous day
o "m" : next Monday
o "u" : next Tuesday
o "w" : next Wednesday
o "h" : next Thursday
o "r" : next Friday
o "a" : next Saturday
o "s" : next Sunday
o "f" : first of the Month
o "l" : last of the Month
The field Approximate Length in all Program Information screens exhibits a new behaviour. If a Original Copy has been received and its length informed, this field is automatically updated and is now displayed in red. In that case entry into the field is also disabled. Otherwise the field is displayed in black and entry of the approximate program length is enabled. So, a programs approximate length can only be changed UNTIL an original master is received, and will assume the originals duration thereafter.
It is now possible to add a Burst entry for the month a programs avail window starts, even if the Avail Start date is not the first day of the month. Program scheduling is still restricted by the Avail Start date.
Additional screens have been updated to use the new drop-down menu for fields with associated popup list values (all Program Information screens, program creation, rights creation).
